Oswego City Police Officer Brady Slimmer is a 2017 graduate of Oswego High School and the CTE Public Safety and Justice program. Since a young age, Brady knew law enforcement was the career for him and says his CiTi training provided more than just what was required to pursue his dreams.
“It really shaped what law enforcement was through learning penal law charges, first aid, CPR, and everything one needs to know,” he said. “If I didn’t go through the Public Safety and Justice program, I feel I wouldn’t have been as prepared.” Brady first used his skills in CPR and first aid as an EMT in Oswego County and Western New York before deciding to take the next step to serve his hometown as a police officer. “I knew I always wanted to do more to protect citizens of my community and I’m very happy with where I’m at.”
